• Rachael Ray Magazine this link opens in a new tab Richard’s appearance in the hospital after Camille and Amma were saved was a brilliant way to underline this. Looking uncomfortable, he tried to make peace with Camille. He had serious things to say about being sorry, but it became obvious that he and Camille were never going to meet some romantic ideal; he wasn’t the hero she needed after all. One of those brilliant one-liners at which this episode excelled followed that moment. As Richard left, Amma’s sly comment, ‘What a dick!’ was unkind but very funny.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione deduce that the treasure under the trapdoor is the Philosopher’s Stone, which can transform metal into gold and can also confer immortality. They later discover that Voldemort has been killing unicorns in the Forbidden Forest and drinking their blood, another way to achieve immortality. The trio comes to believe that Snape is in league with the evil wizard. After learning that Hagrid revealed the secret way to lull the three-headed dog to sleep to a suspicious stranger, whom they believe to be either Snape or Voldemort, they are certain that the Philosopher’s Stone is in danger. The three classmates use the cloak of invisibility on a secret mission to get the Stone themselves to keep it from Voldemort. After getting past the dog and defeating various protective spells, Harry reaches the room in which the Stone is hidden and is surprised to find the perpetually nervous Professor Quirrell there. Quirrell fails to figure out how to retrieve the Stone from the Mirror of Erised (the final protective measure) and forces Harry to try. When standing in front of the mirror, wishing only to protect the Stone and not use it for himself, Harry feels the Stone’s weight in his pocket but refuses to tell Quirrell that he has it. Quirrell unwraps his turban, revealing Voldemort’s face on the back of his head. Voldemort explains that he has been sharing Quirrell’s body until he can get to the Stone and become fully alive again, and Voldemort/Quirrell and Harry fight for possession of the Stone, until Harry blacks out. He awakens in the infirmary and learns that Dumbledore saved him, the Stone is to be destroyed, and Voldemort escaped. 451 Fahrenheit Premiere HBO NYC Featuring: Guest Where: NYC, New York, United States When: 08 May 2018 Credit: Patricia Schlein/WENN.com 451 Fahrenheit Premiere HBO NYC Featuring: Guest Where: NYC, New York, United States When: 08 May 2018 Credit: Patricia Schlein/WENN.com https://www.alamy.com/licenses-and-pricing/?v=1 https://www.alamy.com/451-fahrenheit-premiere-hbo-nyc-featuring-guest-where-nyc-new-york-united-states-when-08-may-2018-credit-patricia-schleinwenncom-image206899866.html

It's official: Amma Crellin (Eliza Scanlen) is the Sharp Objects killer. While the miniseries suggested the true murderer was her mother Adora Preaker-Crelling (Patricia Clarkson) for a little while in finale “Milk,” the series swerved in the last few seconds with a massive twist. Although Adora definitely killed her second daughter Marian Crellin (Lulu Wilson), it was Amma who terrorized the tiny town of Wind Gap with the double murders of Ann Nash (Kaegan Baron) and Natalie Keene (Jessica Treska). But, don’t tell Mama, okay? • Perry Mason (en)

After Camille puts together the pieces and realizes that Amma could well be the killer’s next victim, she drives frantically through Wind Gap to search for her. The hallucinatory words appear most frequently when Camille is distraught, and in her frenetic drive through the town several appear in her eyeline. Here, a street sign reads “FALLING.” • Size:1 MB

But I'll never forget reading Catch-22 in a library in high school and trying to stifle my laughter so much that tears were running down my face. I probably should have been perceiving his arguments more than laughing at the absurdity of it all, but that's where I was at that point in my life. ‘How the “Sharp Objects” Finale Sums Up the Show’s Excellent Feel-Badness’ [ The New Yorker ]

Highly recommended, Sharp Objects is the kind of book one could characterize as a summer read. This is the rare novel that both devoted and casual (yes, that sound you hear is me turning up my nose) readers will appreciate, as long as they can handle the psychological darkness. Good for any season, not just a summer read, even. My nose just turned up a little higher. I better stop now before I'm looking at the ceiling. More Stories By Nellie

The crazy ironic predicaments Yosarian, the focal character, finds himself in are pure genius. And some of the subplots in this novel are better than classics in and of themselves. But, even with that in mind, Catch-22 is incredibly complex. The chapters can at times feel like puzzle pieces that don't connect to anything else. The beginning, although entertaining as hell, is particularly convoluted. For the first ten chapters or so, it feels like character introduction after character introduction--like there's no plot until about 30% of the way through the book... • David Sullivan as Chris, the owner of the bar where Camille frequently goes to in Wind Gap and an old friend of hers

If you knew nothing about the dynamic between Adora and her children, her scenes caring for Camille may seem sweet. This is the first time she’s let into the hallowed ground of Adora’s master bedroom. She lets Adora dress her, caress her cheek. “This will be good for the both of us,” Adora says, beaming with a mother’s love. “You are such a good girl.” When Camille swallows the poison she simply replies, “More, mama.”

• Lists
